UConn is the 15th team to win the national title w/ each victory by double digits. Michigan St (2000), Duke (2001), UNC (2009), Villanova (2018) and last 2 UConn teams did it for 6 games. UConn total margin of victory of 140 is easily the highest ever, breaking UNC’s total of 125

What’s better than a Final Four? One that I get to share with my son, who’s a ball boy tonight.

To all the fans who have followed and engaged with me this year, thank you for your passion for the best sport in the world. Enjoy the national championship.

On the other hand, this will be the 62nd different championship matchup in the past 62 years of the men’s tournament. You have to go back to 1962 (Ohio State-Cincinnati, which also met the year before) to find the last championship matchup that materialized a second time.

This is the 14th time a school has sent men's/women's teams to the Final 4 in same year. NC St is the 11th school to do it. UConn has done it 4x and is only school to do it more than 1x. If UConn women win tomorrow, it will mark 1st time 2 schools made both Final 4s in same year.

FYI, the all-time scoring run by a Division I team against another Division I is 40-0 by Ohio against Cleveland St. on December 6, 2020. I don't have a record for scoring run in a tournament game. If anyone has this information or remembers anything, please pass it along.

From 2006-19, only 2 No. 6 seeds made it to the Elite 8, but Clemson is the 3rd team to do it in 4 years (Creighton in '23, USC in '21). Clemson will try to become the first No. 6 seed to reach the Final Four since Michigan in '92, and just the 7th since seeding began in '79.
