Here's how you don't let other freelancers fall out of your gig for a better gig. Pay them enough to not let them want the other job. You can't fault people for taking a $1,000 payday vs your $200 payday. Especially if you want quality work you need to pay for that.

How to measure social media success? I’ve worked with numerous schools where my videos for them on Instagram are their highest viewed, liked and/or shared video. Just recently, one of my videos outperformed all other videos at a new school I worked with. Success.

Doing my best to shake off the rust.

The future is looking brighter than ever but in order to deliver on a better future I need to graduate from the past. Gear doesn't make the filmmaker, however, having the ability to bring a high level knowledge base of high functioning gear with production value is the goal.

The upgrade cycle though is graduating from the OG Komodo to the Komodo-X, then to a Raptor. Moving on from Rokinon Cine DS primes to Zeiss CP3 or more. Adding the Angenieux EZ 1 lens (my lofty goal of 2024), adding the Aputure 600d and more tube lights and building from there.

I'm finally getting to the point where I'm no longer feeling deficient with my arsenal of camera gear. I feel like the startup phase is nearly over. However, the next step is to upgrade equipment from the entry level to the professional level. Lenses, lights and so on.
