When you format your article to a journal’s terrible style guide and still get rejected

There are good and important reasons to format correctly. #1 is that it dramatically speeds up the production process on the other side. I know this doesn’t help in the face of rejection, but the work isn’t pointless most times. Abstract formatting is particularly important.
