Patients with cancer go through significant psychological distress, their mental health needs are not properly addressed or identified .Often,psychological difficulties in patients diagnosed with cancer are acknowledged as normal and natural reaction.

Analysis of #suicide data (noting #cancer diagnosis) from the National Crime Records Bureau, along with state-specific & gender-specific suicide data from 1997-2020. Also used yearly estimates of national cancer cases from the ICMR National Cancer Registry Programme.

Do apply for this Oxford Health NHS FT Oxford Psychiatry post funded by the Sir Halley Stewart Trust. It will provide important insights into the role of religion & #spirituality in #suicide bereavement & #postvention , in order to help people who experienced such a difficult loss.
