Super exciting! This fossil was in a waste pile, discarded because caecilian skeletons are delicate and not easily recognisable. But those who know๐Ÿคฉ Welcome Ymboirana acrux! First fossil caecilian with preserved skull and postcranial elements from crown group Gymnophiona ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Tribrachidium โ€“ a member of the famous #Ediacaran biota โ€“ just got less mysterious. Careful measurement finds that its two species (T. heraldicum and T. gehlingi) are distinct in shape no matter the environment or rock type, allowing investigation of their growth patterns.
