Dr Linda Dykes @[email protected] Yep. They’re picking from our shelf these days….it used to be weddings and birthdays, now it’s funerals. I have a morbid enjoyment of walking around graveyards…..the amount of names you would know personally, and calls you attended….

Such a pity essentially no 'major' journals publish case reports any more. Everyone talks about the importance of narrative in learning, and the papers we remember from 100 years ago tend to be the case reports. Key case reports can be massively impactful. But no.

I appreciate Marc's post. I also don't share the fatalistic outlook. Systemic changes, such as improved ventilation and masking, could make huge dents in these illnesses. In a generation, I truly believe that we'll look at this list of illnesses the same way we see worms today.

Correlates of protection against symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 in vaccinated children

Nice study: Children respond very well to vaccination, which is stable over time, and as suspected 2 dosages are near-optimal, with improved immunity after infection.

Here’s a thread alleging how the Department of Health Department of Health and Social Care has been sort of spying on me and other elected BMA reps during industrial action by doctors.

Let’s dive in! 🧵

Liz Truss says she hates handouts.

So why is she collecting her £125,000 a year ex-PM pension, for the shortest, worst ever premiership?

She even said she wouldn't collect it.

But of course she does.

'Don't run a train across a broken bridge'

Some of the best stakeholder management advice I ever got. When a relationship is broken, pushing more information will only make things worse.

Repair the relationship before continuing the conversation.
