Just been on my first Bee Network bus (as the trains are out from Wigan) and I had a full-on moment of disabled joy at seeing that there are two spaces on the bus for wheelchair users to park up!

The thing I don’t think non-disabled people realise is that the “hacks” we have to have to deal with an inaccessible society and function relatively “normal” often cost more money (taxis to deal with inaccessible transport; oftentimes, accessible options are more expensive)

Just about uncricked my neck after having this bar block my eyeline (again) at Accrington Stanley v Tranmere Rovers FC today!

Heavy defeat for the SWA, but a top day out with friends and Tranmere Rovers Disabled Supporters’ Association folks! Great people at Accy Stanley and a great community club, Andyh

😀 There has been a great energy in the room at the Level Playing Field North Forum!

🤝 After discussions on engagement between disabled fans, clubs and other stakeholders, it is time for breakout sessions focused on blind and partially sighted supporters.

We’re still running our collection tin fundraiser.

The idea is simple: take a tin from us, fill it with whatever change you have, and hand it back to us when it’s full.

Maybe you know of a local shop or pub that might to like participate. If so, please do get in touch.

Is this the start of a PR campaign to reduce the size of the leagues?

Weekly whinges from top EPL managers.
Then it was the scrapping replays.
Will concessions go?

Oddly, 🌎 pre season tours & an extra game abroad seem to be ok.

For some reason, I’ve only just discovered this excellent BBC Scotland piece about the impact of powerchair football in disabled people’s lives - but it’s a great watch.

Finding ways that all in the community can participate is so needed in modern society

Not quite the same outrage here in 🇪🇸 at the suggestion of playing a La Liga match in 🇺🇸
… as there will be when the 39th match proposal is reawakened for EPL.

There’ll be more space in the calendar without replays and even more if the league is cut to 18 teams.

Candidates in the upcoming Blackpool South by-election have been telling me for BBC Lancashire what they hope to achieve, if they're elected.

Damon Sharp is standing for the NONPOL group and you can hear him talk about what he’d do on BBC Lancashire news bulletins today.

Green Park station will have no step-free access to the Piccadilly line for over 6 months while the lift is replaced.

GP is one of the very few accessible interchanges in central, making it indispensable for disabled people.

Effectively this means 6 months of no Tube travel.
