Ending racism requires dismantling carceral and punitive laws that disproportionately target racialised people. Society should be rooted in care, protection, and social provision. This means creating systems of safety that do not rely on prisons and punishment.

Imagine a migration system that puts people first! We must shift resources away from punishment, surveillance, and control, and instead focus on safety, protection, and justice for all.

Fossil fuel extraction by the Global North in the Global South is a root cause of the climate crisis. While energy corporations profit, people in the Global South bear the brunt, facing displacement and exploitation.

In the words of Jamaican-British sociologist Stuart Hall: “The struggle for racial justice and economic justice cannot be separated. They are the same struggle.” We can only end racism by also addressing economic injustices such as poverty, worker exploitation, and homelessness.
