The hypocrisy is nauseating.

The Brexit referendum was first included in the 2015 Tory election manifesto.

Cameron had a year to prepare for a hypothetical loss.

Badenoch was elected in 2017, she has had seven years to make Brexit work.

I don’t think this is true.

Sunak has offered nothing new — just more of the same: culture wars, institutional racism; and financial favours for the rich.

Where is the social policy that’s so desperately needed?

Stupid boy.

UK exporters have to adhere to EU non tariff barriers and so are at a disadvantage.

EU exporters to the UK are not subject to any non tariff barriers and so compete on a level playing field with domestic UK producers.

All the disadvantages none of the advantages.

It’s not a “jibe”, it’s a statement of fact.

Name another European country that requires legislation to declare a country safe.

Dr Marcus Dromgoole Goodness me this is a stupid Tweet.

Brussels didn’t decide austerity, but it DID mitigate the effects of recession for its members — see Greece.

Furthermore, fourteen new members have joined since the eighties — with more in line.

Only one has left…

Everyone who voted had experience of life under the EU.

And the vote was very marginal.

How do you explain that just eight years after the referendum, over 60% are favourable to membership, and just 8% think we are better off out?

Riddle me this…

What a load of revisionist claptrap!

Carney saved the economy from the the worst Brexit impacts by mitigating against the very things he warned would happen.

To pretend otherwise is morally and intellectually bankrupt.

Rather like you and the other residual Brexiters.

So a Tory MP, a LibDem MP, a Labour MP, and a rabid IEA attack dog with absolutely zero qualifications to comment on questions of transport.

What’s more, Kate Andrews has all the insight, eloquence and erudition of a paper bag.

Why. Was. She. Invited?

Very pleased to say that, following our challenge, Rishi Sunak has been ordered to disclose his dealings, including on text and WhatsApp, with his former hedge fund Theleme over its lucrative investment in Moderna. goodlaw.social/jazv

So your only justification for Brexit is an EU law that was never implemented?

Not the most convincing of arguments in exchange for a sustained 5% drop in GDP over decades.

If you had any brains at all, you would have been too ashamed to type this Tweet, let alone post it.

No idea if this is yet another bit of baseless gossip - I've been stung before, and truthfully nobody in this govt knows ANYTHING, often not even their own names - but I've heard from 3 (usually knowledgeable) sources today that Sunak is planning to call an election on Monday.

The Times has run a highly misleading piece about Hugh Grant's case against its sister paper. Grant's point was that he could not get a judge to rule on The Sun's abysmal conduct without risking £10m. *Nothing* in this piece contradicts that point.

“Only trade laws”?

What other EU laws are there?

Human rights law is not decided in Brussels, but in Strasbourg, and we’re still members of the Council of Europe.

You’re just too stupid to understand that small satellite nations like us have to abide by the laws of the EU.
