Very proud to be involved in this project with Toynbee Hall. At its core this project was about a future energy market where low-income consumers are not just protected, but actively benefit from the transition to net zero.
Toynbee Hall and our peer researchers have carried out a Participatory Action Research project – in partnership with Fair By Design and @Ofgem – to explore what a just transition to net zero might look like for low income consumers, and how to get there.

Another great Institute for Gov event at #LabourPartyConference2022 .
Our director Martin Coppack is part of the panel discussing regulators levelling up and the poverty premium.
Good event at #LabourConference22 from IPPR focusing on poverty premium. Glad to see Emma Hardy MP highlighting need to support poorer energy consumers through a social tariff and ending premiums for pre-payment meter customers. National Energy Action also urging Govt to address these.
Quick visit this morning to the Social Market Foundation and Fair By Design fringe at #LabourConference22 on their important new report about tackling the poverty premium in the insurance market.
