Fiji's first border quarantine case –– a 66-year-old man who contracted COVID-19 in India –– has sadly passed away. Fijian communities still remain free of the virus, but that does not make this tragedy any easier to bear. His family and friends have our deepest sympathies.

This evening we announced the death of our first Boarder Quarrantine Case. Whilst we know this is an enormous tragedy for his family, we at MOHMS are also devastated. It doesn’t change our status as a COVID19 Contained Nation. This increases our resolve to protect this nation.
