I’ve seen Past Lives four times now, and I still ugly cry at the end.

Didn’t expect it to happen but I’ve become a Police Story 2 > Police Story guy. The sequels never quite matches the first’s iconic bookends, but I really enjoyed the darker stakes, better pacing & juggling of plot, action, and comedy, and Jackie’s great nerve-wracked performance

Longlegs is my most anticipated film this year. Perkins' films artfully balance suspense and mystery, while keeping audiences on the edge of their seats until the very last moment. I have been very impressed with his work thus far. I think Longlegs could be his magnum opus.

#NowWatching Kenji Misumi’s THE TALE OF ZATOICHI. I know this will probably get my East Asian film fan card revoked, but the only Zatoichi film I’ve seen so far is Takeshi Kitano’s from 2003! I’m fixing that tonight by going back to the very first with Shintarō Katsu from 1962 😝
