We didn't know we were going winter digging! One final find from Drumanagh 2023. In the bone trays, spotted by our zooarchaeologist and finds guru Siobhan Duffy-Roman elongated bone/antler die! #diggingdrumanagh

Day 8 got off to a great start with a decorated bone comb found by Austin in Trench 5a, following closely by a blue glass bead and pin by Warren in Trench 5B. #diggingdrumanagh

Despite a grim start we were revived by cake-thanks Warren-and lots of interested visitors including Fin O'Carroll and her entourage. Planning ongoing in 5A with completion of topsoil removal in 5B onto stony surface. Small rest and we'll be back on Monday #diggingdrumanagh
