Arthur Kennedy 1922-2009, nephrologist who undertook 1st #dialysis in #GRI in 1959 By 1970, 251 patients had dialysed on the Kolff kidney (last used 1974) with survival of 56%. Without dialysis, survival close to 0% 1st female nephrologist in Glasgow was Dr Marjorie Allison😍
