Discussed with Commissioner Louise Ho Pui-shan how UN Office on Drugs & Crime can strengthen law enforcement responses to organised crime.

Organized crime groups in Asia generate and launder billions in illicit revenue through sport betting, often linked to illegal casinos and scams.

I discussed cooperation with HKJC Racing management, including partnering to safeguard sport integrity.

The agreement I signed today with ICAC Commissioner Woo Ying-ming in Hong Kong, China, solidifies our partnership and expands our joint technical assistance in addressing corruption.

Remarkable work by local tea farmers in Myanmar.

Since 2019, UN Office on Drugs & Crime has supported 460+ farmers in Shan State with technical equipment to build 5 tea-processing factories.

This shows alternative development can provide sustainable, licit livelihoods.

I welcomed the Philippines’ efforts to combat organised crime, illegal betting & online scams.

We also agreed on tackling online child sexual abuse & ensuring prison reforms protect human rights.

As I close #CCPCJ33 , I’m inspired by our work over the past week to advance criminal justice & the rule of law.

We had 1,500 participants from 128 countries, 97 side-events, 75 NGOs & 5 resolutions adopted.

Together, we’re committed to building more just & resilient societies.
