I welcomed commitments to reform labour inspection & public employment services as part of EU accession. We emphasized the importance of social dialogue & strong @ILO collaboration.

We spoke about the need to strengthen labour inspection, social dialogue & secure worker protection in the EU accession process. Also CNSM's role in Moldova's ratification of #C190 .

We spoke about the key role of social dialogue in shaping labour law reforms and the importance of capacity building for @ILO constituents as part of the EU accession process.

We spoke about the importance of Moldova's efforts to strengthen labour legislation and institutions, including to improve productivity & better match skills with job opportunities.

In order to achieve sustainable peace around the world, we must commit to increasing #SocialJustice for all.

April 7 marked 30 years since the genocide against the Tutsi in #Rwanda .

To honour its victims and maintain progress, let's renew our commitment to prevent such atrocities, with #SocialJustice , decent work, social protection & inclusion as crucial pillars for sustainable peace.

April marks one year of war in Sudan. I'm deeply concerned by the loss of lives and livelihoods. Social justice is at the heart of durable peace, and the ILO stands ready to work with our United Nations partners to support social protection, decent work, & social justice for Sudan’s people.

Very pleased that Bulgaria has ratified @ILO Conventions 155 on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), and 187 on the Promotional Framework for OSH.

Both are key to realizing the fundamental principle and right to a safe and healthy working environment for all.

The humanitarian situation in #Gaza , loss of life, livelihoods and plight of hostages, are of grave concern to @ILO.

I join António Guterres in calling on all parties to implement the United Nations Security Council resolution passed on Monday, with a ceasefire and release of all hostages.

On a day designated to #RememberSlavery and its victims, everyone should be aware that today 50 million people are in modern slavery globally.

It's completely unacceptable!

The global community must be relentless in efforts to #EndModernSlavery and achieve #SDG8 & its targets.

Deeply concerned by the extent of illegal profits from forced labour revealed in new @ILO report.

Our data puts the annual profits at US$ 236bn, a 37% increase since 2014.

The international community must unite in action to end this human rights abuse.
