First day smiles! 💜 We welcomed 52 participants from 19 countries in Tanzania for the 2024 offering of the Global Rehabilitation Leadership Institute. This week is all about empowering professionals across the health system via knowledge-sharing and collaboration. #GRLI2024

With a relaxing meditation to start the day, our #GRLI2024 cohort explored systems thinking, rehabilitation frameworks, and leadership principles. We thank Nhan Tran from the World Health Organization and our JH-IIRU faculty for facilitating engaging sessions! #Rehab4All

Integrated health services should be comprehensive, equitable, coordinated, holistic, system-led, and collaborative. 🤝 In a recent session, Ugandan experts from various organizations joined us to discuss the integration of rehabilitation services at multiple levels. #GRLI2024

We made sure to include fun into the mix. 🥳 Our participants enjoyed a colorful cultural night, proudly showcasing unique treasures from their home countries. Thank you all for making it a very special evening! #GRLI2024

"We need communities to be at the center of policy change." During a panel session, our speakers Abdul Ghaffar, Nhan Tran, and Ntuli Kapolgwe, moderated by Communications Consultant Halima Shariff, discussed the intricacies of rehabilitation integration policies. #GRLI2024

Our participants concluded the course with marketplace-style presentations, devising rehabilitation action plans for fictional countries using the tools they gained throughout the week. This required a lot of creativity and collaboration. Congrats, guys! 🎉 #GRLI2024
