Some of my favorite people (David S. Cohen & Sue Frietsche) are arguing a very important abortion case before the PA Supreme Court tomorrow. Check out this thread to learn more! This case could protect abortion access in our state even if dems lose the Governor’s race.
Abortion safe-haven laws attempt to shield women & doctors from out-of-state liability. Carly Zubrzycki (@UConnLaw) explains medical records’ increasing interoperability & federal information-sharing regs may still put patient records in the wrong hands. yalelawjournal.org/forum/the-abor…
NEW: A covert, cross-border network of abortion activists is funneling thousands of abortion pills into the United States. I interviewed 16 people and visited 4 U.S. cities + Mexico to try to wrap my arms around this operation. The scope is staggering.🧵washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/…

Looking forward to this event on Nov 9! The Wide Reach of Dobbs: Impacts Beyond Abortion. Hosted by CTIC and UPenn Medical Ethics & Health Policy. Dorothy Roberts will lead a panel with Greer Donley, Patti Zettler, and Wendy Parmet. Not to be missed. Register here: pennlaw.cvent.com/c/express/3b09…
Each of these cases are abortions, even though I would argue they are ALSO pregnancy losses. The line is blurred. Abortion is one type of reproductive healthcare that cannot be disaggregated from the rest. Read more from Jill Wieber Lens & I on this here: papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cf…
Why are those parents who refuse life sustaining treatment at birth (or whose affected pregnancies end in stillbirth) considered bereaved parents when parents who chose termination are stigmatized? I wrote a whole paper on this in Minnesota Law Review here. papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cf…
