Applause for GrimmGreen! It is time to call the teen vaping scare what it was (and sadly still is): An irrational #MoralPanic *pushed* by two unaccountable foundations, Bloomberg Philanthropies and Truth Initiative. The modern version of Reefer Madness. youtube.com/watch?v=OYWWoB…

I know i'm not great at math but... if current teen e-cig use has dropped below 8%, how are 29.7% of high schoolers vaping daily? "youth vaping is down, but we still need to panic because the billions we gave CFTFK are about to be wasted" cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/7…

The level of respect I have for people who can say “I was wrong and the evidence changed my mind” Can not be understated Inspiring to see from Cliff Douglas

Enormous respect for Cliff Douglas recognising then publicly admitting his previous opposition to tobacco harm reduction was wrong. He is not only one. Would be very useful to collect names of other leaders who did the same.

Vaping debate or more accurately non-debate was never about evidence. Always about perceptions. If it was really about evidence tobacco harm reduction opponents would have admitted they got it wrong years ago

What makes more sense? That this woman's condition was caused by 3 years of vaping, or 20 years of smoking? Yes, vaping is harm reduction. Yes, it will help smokers stop smoking. NO, it doesn't reverse decades of smoking damage in 3 years. People 🤡 people.com/ohio-woman-vap…

"Jordan Brielle, 32, had started smoking in her teens, but in 2021 switched to vaping — and was soon spending up to $500 a week to maintain the habit." Was she vaping gold-plated disposables? Or, more likely, was she using drug cartridges bought off the black market?

I don't think Tucker Carlson realizes he has to file a PMTA and get a FDA Marketing Order before he can legally market his product. Preparing a PMTA and completing the required studies and trials will take 1-2 years and cost $10+ million. Then, after he files the PMTA, the FDA

Ugh… Seeing cigarette use drop while vape use rises, then being concerned that “overall tobacco use” is rising, has got to be the most brain dead logic a person can use. Surely CDC can do better for the millions of misinformed smoking adults in America?
