In Nong District, Laos, several routes of the Ho Chi Minh Trail crossed. From 1964-1973 it was one of the most heavily bombed places in the country. With support from Political-Military Affairs, US Dept of State 🇺🇸, HALO has cleared cluster bombs from the land so the children can now safely play soccer.

A dramatic find in Laos! 🇱🇦 In Xepon District, a 1,000lb bomb - only the second of its size we've found in Laos since 2012 - was reported. The HALO team safely moved the bomb, allowing the landowner to continue working his land. Thanks Political-Military Affairs, US Dept of State 🇺🇸 for supporting this work.
