It was a joy to meet beneficiaries of #CDF including cooperatives engaged in tailoring, poultry business & making peanut butter. That’s what happens when citizens partake in decisions that affect their lives. Now we should go a step further & help #OurPeople with #MarketAccess .🇿🇲

With the help of cooperating partners German Embassy ZAM, USAID, World Bank & many others, our govt has shown political will towards service delivery through a bottom-up approach. This, has empowered communities, to address their different & specific needs. 🇿🇲 #Decentralisation

On this auspicious day, as we commemorate #Africa FreedomDay2023 & pay homage to the brave Freedom Fighters who dedicated their lives to liberate #Africa from colonialism, we solemnly laid wreaths at the #FreedomStatue , to symbolise our deep respect for these heroic patriots.🇿🇲

While much of #Africa has achieved political freedom, many of our people still face economic challenges.
It’s therefore crucial for us to strive for economic freedom. As Africans, we’re blessed with the resource endowment & potential needed to shape a brighter future. 🌍

Taken deliberate steps towards economic & social transformation to achieve equitable development in all 10 provinces, regardless of political affiliation. This is why we increased #CDF to K28.3m p.a, that’s simultaneously disbursed to each constituency every year without fail. 🇿🇲

Our govt’s guiding principle is people-centred development that ensures access to basic needs for all #Zambians in all constituencies. That’s why we’re delighted to be handing over #CDF vehicles to facilitate service delivery to the people we promised to serve.

Our rural upbringing has ingrained in us the belief that a child belongs to the community from which they come. It brings great joy that Meenda and Miyanda recognise the importance of celebrating their union with the people in their own locality in #Namwala .
