Reports that the PM plans to water down an already weak proposal for a Federal EPA continues this govt's complete lack of courage. A total betrayal of the people and places we love. There is a path to get this through the senate in a better form that actually protects Nature.

Senator Linda Reynolds was an unreliable witness who failed to answer questions and whose "gratuitous" and "self-serving" testimony was more like advocacy, court defamation proceedings against her former staffer Brittany Higgins have been told. ab.co/3Telivn

It's official. We just sweated through Australia's hottest August ever recorded. But some records just aren't meant to be broken. Climate pollution is pushing temps up to places they simply shouldn't be. theguardian.com/australia-newsā€¦

When a journalist reproduces and amplifies campaign material from a private organisation who has a significant vested interest in the issue at hand, is it ethical?

A government weakening vital environmental protections in order to secure support from a Coalition which habitually denies the reality of climate change ā€¦ is a government which has lost its way.

Maternal Child Health Nurses have been requesting 5 weeks annual leave since 2015. This change would cost around $31k a year. But Boroondara Council has rejected our nurses again. Yet they're spending $20 million to rebuild Kew Library. What truly matters here?

NT Labor has lost all its Darwin seats to the CLP, Greens, and Independents. Nightcliff was held by Labor for over 20 years, and Johnston was held by Labor since its creation. Both lost to Greens and Indis. Both were once considered safe. Trying to be CLP lite crushed NT Labor

I did not see this coming. Bill Shorten announces retirement from politics. Will remain in Cabinet until February. This is a significant loss for Labor. He is one of their best on policy detail and he's always across his portfolio. We're a lesser country for his 2019 loss.

When your ā€˜captainā€™s callā€™ turns into a cut-and-run, Anthony Albanese. In your rush to dodge a ā€˜culture war,ā€™ youā€™ve created one, snipping our community in half. Cowardly appeasing bigots doesnā€™t unite; it divides. But hey, we get itā€”being queer is just too ā€˜divisiveā€™ for your comfort šŸ³ļøā€āš§ļø

About time the RBA gets called out. You donā€™t need an economics degree to appreciate that middle/low income Australians are not causing inflation. You donā€™t need an economics degree that forcing these middle/low income Australians to rely on food banks, will not address
