Today the Church celebrates The Feast of the Transfiguration. It recalls the moment when Jesus's divine nature as Son of his Heavenly Father was revealed to his disciples. Read more on this in the Gospels of Mark, Matthew and Luke. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📸: All Saints Kings Lynn

Saxon ‘Wild Edric’ practised serial ‘handfast’ marriages with heiresses, each swiftly followed by the demise of the bride. One of the oldest churches in Shropshire, its unfinished spire has a distinctive aluminium ‘finial’. Find it on #achurchnearyou bit.ly/3IIvh6p

Jesus declares "I am the bread of life." He will say it again. And, next week, again. Why is Jesus repeating this metaphor? What is John leading us to? #bibleverse

This week's prayer comes from Six Beats One Story, Dai Woolridge, read by Lizzie Hackney, our Lead Intergenerational Missioner. #prayer bit.ly/3WN4vjO

John 6, v 51-58 We saw last week how Jesus described himself as the 'bread of life.' At this point in the story, John introduces more complexity to the metaphor, which pre-figures the Last Supper. Not just food for the spiritually hungry, but real food for the soul. #bibleverse

Though many are able to take holidays at this time of year, we give thanks for all who through their work continue to support and sustain us. This prayer, written by David Adam, is a blessing for them and for us if we are at work today. #prayer #blessing bit.ly/3WPFNzs

The psalms were written as songs or poems, and this is one of the more beautiful, exalting in creation. When this psalm ends 'blessed is the one who trusts in you' it seems so simple, to put your hand in the hand of the God who laid the world before us. #bibleverse

This important #GoodChildhoodReport paints a bleak picture of our young people’s wellbeing in UK. Our children need our support, guidance and love, and the hope of a future they can thrive in. I thank The Children's Society for their commitment to improving the lives of young
