One of the USGA Golf Museum and Library's fundamental roles is to uncover and elevate lesser known stories like Maggie Hathaway – an actress, singer and golfer.

'All of that content lives in the museum and feeds, not only what we do at the museum, but really what the USGA does in terms of preserving and celebrating history.'

The USGA Golf Museum and Library collects hundreds of artifacts each year, including trophies, scorecards, photographs and much more.

Each artifact plays an important role in telling the rich history of golf, but these 10 are among our most impactful acquisitions of 2021.

“All of us working in what is perceived as a male-dominated field just continuously prove the importance of women in the game and the diverse roles they’ve always played. We’re just continuing that tradition.'

A life well lived.

The most treasured artifacts from the late Mickey Wright, a 4-time @USWomensOpen champion, are now in the hands of the USGA Golf Museum and Library.

We are honored to preserve them so they can inspire future generations and honor her legacy.

In a stunning final wish, Mickey Wright left her entire estate to the USGA. On a recent trip to the museum, I went into the vault and got an inside look into the life of Mickey.

Even the ordinary seemed extraordinary.

The USGA Museum has been closed to the public for months. But that didn’t stop TGJ Senior Writer and podcast host Tom Coyne (Tom Coyne) from finagling his way into golf's treasure chest in preparation for Winged Foot. Here's what he found. bit.ly/33urvZk
