I've got some pix from our road trip to Inverness yesterday, but before I tweak them and upload them, I'm getting out and about! it's a balmy 16°C, 62°F and the sun is blazing, so me and my camera are gonna go enjoy it.

We get our water from a nearby burn, so no water bills, but, you have to have an in line filtration system. Our particulate filter is clogged with peat, so a new one's on the way. The other part of the filter is a UV light to eliminate wee living organisms.

My wife found this knitted monkey key chain in a wee plastic bag on the trail from the car park to the chainsaw carving competition in Carrbridge. The note reads, "I'm not lost, just alone, if I make you smile please take me home."

I shot these photos yesterday as part of a road trip to Inverness. The first two are of the bridge of Oich. The last one I shot out of the car window as we were heading home, it's a statue of Scotlands national animal, the unicorn. The birds circling it were a nice touch.

Here's some fauna from my perambulations today. #1 is a hooded crow, aka a hoodie. #2-3 are of the same stonechat who was kind enough to pose. #4 is a peacock butterfly.
