Today I had the opportunity to officiate at a graduation of 231 students at Gudie leisure farm. They have been trained in self sustainable businesses in Agriculture and value chain among others. Thx to the management for supporting the youth.

Today, His Excellency the UNICEF Regional Director for Eastern and Southern Africa has made a courtesy call to the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development to discuss child care and protection issues. They agreed to strengthen their partnership and collaboration.

Today I had the privilege of opening the 5th operational training on chemical emergency response, planning and management for East African community partner states. I wish them a fruitful training.

It was a pleasure talking to probation officers on issues to do with alternative care, guardianship and adoption. We appreciate and recognise their role in handling issues to do with children.

Today, together with the European Union delegation, we launched the Youth Sounding Board. For the 20 youth that have been selected, we wish them the very best on this journey.

Today I joined the Kisoro Muslim community during the Eid mubarak prayers. I congratulate them for going through the fasting period successfully. Eid Mubarak
