I'd like to think that there is a greater awareness of the harms of ethnic lumping ('BAME', 'BME') but I still see new research projects on #DomesticAbuse that continues to lump people. This is why I support peer review boards with experienced Black voices. Let's be specific.
Using training I received from Surviving Economic Abuse Dr Nicola Sharp-Jeffs OBE and guidelines doc from thier website myself and a survivor of domestic abuse were able to change her Morgage payments by ยฃ200 pcm.
We only contacted MC 3 weeks ago and now sorted.
