New International Energy Agency analysis: Clean energy accounted for 10% of global GDP growth in 2023.

In the EU and China, it was over 30% and 20% respectively.

This growth comes from manufacturing, deployment and equipment sales.

Analysis by Laura Cozzi, Timur Gül, Thomas Spencer and Peter Levi

Electricity prices were generally lower in 2023 than in 2022.

But they varied widely by region, affecting economic competitiveness.

Despite a 50% drop, prices for energy-intensive industries in the EU in 2023 were almost double those in the US & China ➡️ iea.li/3UivPGH

The transformation of the world's power sector means clean sources are set to meet all the increase in global electricity demand in the next 3 years

This is mainly due to huge growth in renewables, but also nuclear's rebound to a historic high in 2025 → iea.li/3UiFCwh

Solar PV is lighting a path forward for clean energy

By 2030, the world is set to have far more manufacturing capacity for solar PV than it is deploying, based on today's policies settings

This offers an opportunity to speed up clean energy transitions: iea.li/3Q3T5pA
