A photo that sums the man up. A joy to meet and work with. Last year presenting BBC Philharmonic concert for BBC Radio 3 I thought he was taking a piece remarkably slowly until the producer who was following the score said “No. He’s bang on. He always is.” RIP one of the greats.
Cannot claim this to be mine but I’m immensely proud of the person who earned it this afternoon TCS London Marathon. I don’t think I have ever seen so many people in one place and what an inclusive and supportive crowd it was. Well done to all.
Very glad you enjoyed it Dom. It’s a lovely hall Cadogan Hall and the mix of choral BBC Singers and saxophone was rather special I thought. No doubt it will appear on BBC Radio 3.
Looking forward to hosting this tonight at Cadogan Hall for future transmission BBC Radio 3. If you are ‘made in Chelsea’ or at least in the vicinity, then come along. Should be a corker.

This is worth catching tonight. The BBC Concert Orchestra bathed in green light at the Southbank Centre with a concert of Sibelius classics and surprises. It was a pleasure to be on stage with them. They are such a great and flexible band! Join us BBC Radio 3 tonight at 7.30.
