2/3 With an annual target of growing 17.9 million trees, Nyandarua County is designated to the Ministry of The National Treasury & Economic Planning alongside Machakos County, at the revitalized tree growing programme by the Cabinet.

The National Treasury & Economic Planning PS Muhati, who is joined by partners participating in the vigorous tree growing exercise among them Kenya Forest Service ,Kenya Medical Research Institute and Medics from Mathare Hospital,will plant 25,000 seedlings at the 17 Ha of Wanjohi Block of Geta Forest.
