Impressive 2:02.60 for Shaikira King at British Milers' Club yesterday in Gillingham. Mixed gender race, but fastest ever by a 🇬🇧 15-year-old. Moves to third on the U17 all-time list behind Phoebe Gill (2023) and Jo White (1977).

Rose Harvey raced yesterday for the first time since her 2:23:21 at the Chicago Marathon in October. 71:59 at the Nice Half Marathon. Does that show current form, the day before the Olympic marathon selection meeting? 👀One spot available, six women have the Q.

Fourth at the Valencia Marathon last year. Will keep the 10,000 EUR prize money from that.

Took $16,000 in prize money in Budapest for finishing fourth, and $10,000 across five DLs last year. Only 21 years old.

One DNF was Daniel Do Nascimento - who ended in hospital. Fell at 16k onto his shoulder, carried on for 10k at a slower pace but had to stop.

So many questions from the London Marathon. Was there a vortex in the tunnel at Blackfriars that swallowed half the elite men's field? Mengesha, Tola, Wolde, Haso & Gebresilase all passed me (in that order) at 22 miles but didn't finish. Emile was eighth at that point!
