Just a reminder, today is #StarTrekDay ! It may not be a federal holiday, but the significance of Star Trek as a platform that has inspired generations of people to think about space, science, and exploration can’t be discounted. I may catch a couple of old episodes today myself!

Queen Elizabeth II's reign spanned all of spaceflight, predating both Sputnik and Explorer 1.

As we join the planet in marking her passing, we are moved by the curiosity Her Royal Highness showed our explorers over the years.

As a reminder, when #QueenElizabeth ascended the Throne Winston Churchill was Prime Minister and Harry S. Truman US President. There is hardly anybody on this planet who can remember that there was a time without the Queen. #RIP
