Remember the time when the Detroit Red Wings scored with 3 seconds left to keep their playoff hopes alive only to watch them get dashed as Washington was gifted an empty net in a 1-1 game? Absolutely brutal.

Called it. The Red Wings' push to the playoffs ended up being exactly like the 2022-23 Lions. However, this Red Wings team is way too far away from having a season like the Lions had this year. Yzerman is too much of a chicken to make real moves and he bets too much on the farm.
