... which is exactly why I didn't go for that option! Went for the 3-iron draw to use the wind, even though I can't really draw it these days and knew that if it did carry the bunker there was no way I'd stop it on the green. Drew it a tiny fraction... and made birdie! 😀

And you're right... that hole is an incredible transformation! Pretty sure I can probably see my house now gazing away to the south, but haven't yet worked out precisely which direction to look 😀

You never know what you're going to get in golf. After a year of monumental underachievement, I found myself looking at this 15-footer on the 10th Hayling Golf Club today for a second eagle in four holes. Pretty sure I've never done that before in 40+ years! #EarlyCelebration 😀

Double double eagle, I believe, in American-speak, Barney... 😀

Nice to be back Hayling Golf Club yesterday with Rob Smith. It's one of surprisingly few links courses on the south coast between Kent and Devon. Favourite hole - the 12th, even though it was the only hole I blobbed yesterday 😃

Weather decidedly unkind for our game on the Nicklaus course Carden Park Hotel today. Just improving a fraction as we finished but great to play again with legend of the golf journalist world Clive Agran who has been in the wars this year, to put it mildly...
