My wife took the Metro line/LRT from downtown LA to Santa Monica and back this week. It was almost deserted but she had no problem. She had to pay $2 for a Metro card, then paid, wait for it, 35 cents for a one-hour ride. That's the seniors, off-peak rate, but something's wrong.
