I am not an ardent royalist. However, today I wish to express my sadness at the passing of a truly amazing monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. She served with tremendous dignity, class, humility, and wisdom. I will miss her. Your Majesty, rest in peace. Thank you.

Kit Malthouse will be an abysmal Education Secretary unless he learns the lesson that most of his predecessors ignored. Stop telling educators how to educate and LISTEN to them. They have forgotten more about education than he will ever know. Listening is a world-beating skill.

How ironic? The two great rule breakers are both complaining about others breaking the rules. Trump's calling 'foul' on the FBI and Johnson thinks he was removed from office because the Establishment changed the rules. The game is over for both.

In his bizarre and rambling departure speech, Johnson, the great rule breaker, claimed that the rules had been broken. Which ones?

It wasn't Johnson's genius that shrank the role of PM to a part-time hobby, it was his utter stupidity and laziness.
He has never risen above his 2:1, which would have been a 'Desmond' (2:2) from anywhere other than Oxford.

If we're going to spend Β£100 billion sorting out the energy crisis, surely we can spend an extra Β£3 billion to nationalise energy companies and take profiteering out of the equation forever

My lasting memory of Boris Johnson's disastrous premiership? Thanks to Susie Dent, I learned a new word.

Maw-worm. Someone who insists they did nothing wrong despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
