I am at 33rd Regional Conference for Africa #ARC33 in #Moro . I joined the Prime Minister of Morocco & FAO Director-General QU Dongyu of @FAO.The #ARC33 gives a great opportunity to reflect & strengthen commitment to collaboration & innovation in agriculture & transformation of #agrifoodsystems in Africa

Honored to speak at the International conference on #Miombo Forest initiative.I commend President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi & Govt of #Mozambique , SADC Secretariat,WCS The ICCF Group for promoting & conserving #Miombo Forest to achieve goals on #ClimateAction , #Biodiversity & Sustainable Development.

Pleased to recieve delegates from #USAGovt & #USMission led by H.E Mr Salman Ahmed Principal advisor to Secretary Antony Blinken.We discussed & agreed to accelerate implementation of current initiatives like Comprehensive Action for #ClimateChange ( #CACCI )& Vision for AdaptedCrops &Soil( #VACS )

Had great discussions with #Kenya government officials & African Union in preparation for upcoming Africa Fertiliser & Soil Health Summit #AFSH24 to hold in #Nairobi from 7-9 May 2024. Great thanks to Amb. George Orina my co-chair for steering the meeting with great outcomes.

During our #AU Assessment Mission to #Kenya ,host of Fertilizer & Soil Health Summit 2024 #AFSH24 , I also met Mr. Odd Arnesen, CoChair of AUC CAADP #DPCG .We discussed support to #Post_Malabo CAADP Agenda,with focus on sharing international best practices & to inform this process.

We are making great progress on #Post_Malabo the AUC CAADP agenda.Our goal is to ensure an Africa-led process with broad & inclusive stakeholder consultation, as well as robust #knowledge_based & #evidence_based approaches. Priorities,Plans & Progress made are highlighted herein

At the annual conference on foreign Policy: #CAPE2024 in Praia #CaboVerde . I urge us to focus more attention on #ClimateCrisis & #SIDS . We need #ClimateDiplomacy to solve planetary crises like #Climatechange , #Biodiversity loss, #pollution & #waste esp. in fragile states & #SIDS

Happy to recieve the Minister of Agriculture, of #Ireland . We discussed key issues related to Multilateral global development agenda, and how African Union & Government of #Ireland can best continue strengthening & paving way for an inclusive #cooperation .

It was insightful to be part of a panel discussion with H.E Hilda Cathy Heine President of Rep of #MarshallIslands & others, at the #TokyoConference2024 on Restoring International Cooperation in a Multipolar World. Advancing #Multilateral cooperation is key to our development.
