Today we signed the EU - Norway Security and Defence Partnership.

It reflects our strong bilateral relations in security & defence and in defending the international rules-based order.

The partnership opens up new avenues to work closer together.

In the margins of #Syria Conf2024 , I reiterated the EU support to UN Envoy Geir O. Pedersen.

After 2 years, the Constitutional Committee must reconvene as soon as possible.

International efforts must redouble towards a political solution in #Syria , in line with #UNSCR2254 .

Met w/ FM Abdallah Bou Habib in Brussels to discuss the many challenges Lebanon faces, including the war beyond its southern borders.

I assured him of the EU support and willingness to move forward the bilateral relationship, and to work for peace and stability in the region.

Horrified by news coming out of #Rafah on Israeli strikes killing dozens of displaced persons, including small children. I condemn this in the strongest terms.

There is no safe place in Gaza. These attacks must stop immediately. ICJ orders & IHL must be respected by all parties.

Despite CIJ_ICJ binding ruling, Israel struck Rafah & Hamas fired rockets to Israel. We'll discuss today, also w/ 5 Arab partners how to revitalise the political process.
Russia escalates bombings against civilians, we'll discuss support to Ukraine.

We addressed:
• the catastrophic situation in Gaza, also in light of the #ICJ ruling
• ⁠the way forward to advancing lasting peace based on 2-state solution.

Fruitful exchange w/ Ararat Mirzoyan on our intensive bilateral agenda, support to Armenia’s resilience & new EU Armenia Partnership Agenda.

On regional issues, I reiterated support to AM-AZ normalisation process: our common objective is sustainable peace in the South Caucasus.
