Former Rice Baseball Coach Wayne Graham, who led the Owls to the College World Series championship in 2003, passed away last night at the age of 88 according to former Texas Coach David Pierce, now the assistant to the head coach at Texas State: “Coach Graham was the greatest…”

Competing against Wayne Graham when I played in college at Tulane vs Rice Baseball was an incredible experience. Watching him coach, you could sense his greatness. now full circle coaching at San Jacinto College Baseball. Having all his championships on our wall, he was a true legend. RIP Coach
