For years our member Justice Project Pakistan pushed for an anti-torture law, because you cannot fight & prevent what you don‘t define as wrong.

With success! Persistence matters.

The law is not perfect but important. We now need to make sure it is the beginning of the end to torture.

Important step as #Pakistan passes the long-awaited anti-torture bill in a country where torture is systematic & left unpunished, according to the UN.

We'll work with our partners to implement the bill, in accordance with Pakistan’s obligations under international law.
