Head athletic trainer Todd Campbell is serving as interim Director of Performance Health, per sources. Departments are under evaluation by management.

The Bulls and Chip Schaefer have parted ways, per sources. Schaefer, the head athletic trainer during the dynasty days, returned to organization as Director of Performance Health in 2016. Schaefer, who also worked for Phil Jackson with the Lakers, is widely respected in league.

Over the coming days, K.C. Johnson will publish player profiles on the main Bulls players, reviewing their 2023-24 season and looking ahead.

DeMar DeRozan edged out by Stephen Curry for NBA's Clutch Player of the Year award.

DeRozan: 34 firsts, 27 seconds, 21 thirds; 272 points

Second time this week a Bull finished runner-up for postseason award. Coby White finished second in MIP.

Stephen Curry wins the Jerry West Trophy after being named the NBA's Clutch Player of the Year. DeMar DeRozan was a finalist for the second straight year.

Coby White wanted to win NBA's Most Improved Player award for himself, his franchise and, most important, all the lottery picks deemed busts too quickly in this day and age of instant everything
