Some great points in this thread - specifically around the dangers of unleashing EIP-3074 to the masses.

Personally I side with the lets be 'super cautious' about surfacing which SC can be given authority over an EOA.

And would prioritize 'L2 Migration Contracts' that

cooking up a fresh little PR for the Optimism repo to add royalty support (ERC2981) to the native ERC721 bridge from L1 to L2s.

my hot take on EIP 3074 after digging into a bit more is it will be used for niche use cases and to primarily migrate EOAs into EIP 4337 smart accounts.

tl;dr: it's not a great substitute for smart accounts but is actually great for migrating to one in as few steps as possible.

Interesting use case for the new ERC721 Superchain bridge app - transferring ENS name NFTs to an L2 and taking out loans against the domain name.

Haven't used it yet, but really cool to see!

From my perspective the difference between Arbitrum (💙,🧡) and Base 🛡️/Optimism is one chose the right now narrative (DeFi) with technical innovation and the other chose the long-term narrative (commerce) and a cultural movement.
