The International Swan Symposium comes to an end. Had fun presenting our latest results. & in my voluntary role meeting with the Bewick's Swan expert group to get ball rolling on the new NW European action plan. A great trip hearing all latest on international swan research

Good to see Lisa Vergin presenting virtually to the International Swan Symposium in πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on her work on Bewick's Swans in Germany. Germany πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ now hosts a very high percentage of the NW European population of Bewick's & is an important wintering destination for these birds.

We're calling for an urgent ban on the use of lead ammunition.

Why is it so damaging? And why is *now* the moment to push for change?

Strap in for a πŸ§΅πŸ‘‡ (1/15)

In Jackson, Wyoming this week for the 7th International Swan Symposium. Looking forward to talking about lead poisoning, as well as swan competition. Lots of interesting talks already!

Sat working away in my hotel room in Salt Lake City, glanced away from the laptop and looked outside to see that the snow (that's forecasted for later) has arrived early.... went to look out the window, looked up to see a Peregrine plucking a pigeon..... feathers!
