It’s always a real privilege to watch a #Corncrake that breaks cover and spends time in the open.

The early cover growth this year has been fantastic, so he’s been well hidden most of the time.

Great new PhD available with former student Kevin Wood at WWT Conservation on Curlew conservation

Last saw head started Curlew J5 on the Camel Estuary in September 2023 with Tan Grigg. Today, Tan & I saw her at her new breeding site in Gloucestershire. At two years old, she had secured a territory with her partner & laid a clutch of eggs 💫
