So next time you will be admiring 'the great' culture of the empire, just think for a second that culture of its oppressed subjects could also have been great if their artists wouldn't die fighting the empire, wouldn't be killed by it or forced to flee.

Perhaps it's embarrassing to Russia that it must seek military aid from North Korea. Certainly it's embarrassing to rich, democratic countries when North Korea helps Russia more than they help Ukraine.

Every morning I start with news and today there was one that gave me hope like nothing else:

In the mids of a brutal, colossally costly war, Ukrainians will open a big bookstore on Kyiv’s main street.

So much symbolism in that

Last July Roman lost his mom and got 45% of body burn following russian rocket attack on Vinnytsia.
This December he dances again and takes part in competitions.

This one story reveals so much about Ukrainians-we don’t give up on living despite all the pain and challenges.
