If a recruit has his parents or HS coaches or both helping with the recruiting process that’s an added bounce. But the recruit should be LEADING the process.

This isn’t a time to be shy as recruit, parent, or hs coach don’t sit back. Recruits you have earned these opportunities so step up and be ready for any questions, also have your own question ready.

Junior days or Unofficial visits are an essential part of the recruiting process, and they can make or break a school’s interest in you. You have control of your future, show commitment, dedication, and ambition, and the right school will fall into place.

There’s a school for everyone. Not everyone gets to play in the P5. Using this time is critical to finding the right level. Schools need your help with understanding expectations & requirements. Search out options find a school you can achieve your dreams of playing college ball.

Be a good teammate even if it’s not your turn in the program just yet.

Coach attitude and character as hard as you coach anything else. It’s all under the control of the coach. Their talent level is given. Talent can win you games, but character and attitude win championships.

This might help a recruit understand the process. If you’re dominating your HS division, that doesn’t mean you’re an elite DI recruit. Your competition shouldn’t hold you back, but it matters. Going to prospect camps/showcases to compete against other elite recruits will help.
