11 months later, the border town of Adre 🇹🇩 is again overwhelmed by more than 180,000 refugees, most with no belongings. And more refugees arrive daily. Chad RRRP is only funded at 6%! Not enough funds to help “sur place” nor to open new sites. A catastrophy at our doorsteps.

I had the privilege today to meet strong advocates for efforts to eradicate #statelessness - there is no way we will make progress alone and the rights advocacy of these stateless-led organizations and others will help the new Global Alliance get there. 🙏🏼

Today is the ‘official’ day we in the United Nations recognize LGBTIQ+ rights will always be fundamental human rights.

No matter who you are, how you identify, know that we at UNHCR stand with you and will always fight for your protection.

This is a promise that goes beyond #IDAHOBIT .

The IDMC ‘s #GRID2024 is tragically familiar for internally displaced people.

More conflicts.
More climate disasters.
More IDPs than at any point in history.
