+ I've made a route map below basis locations the patrol reached (yellow dots). However, this is one of the possible routes (based on old trade routes).
- The patrol could've taken a more westerly route from Nischu to Haji Langar.
- Any which ways, this was an epic journey +

- It went over Chang La, Marsimik La, along Chang Chenmo river, Kongka La and reached Lanak La (traditional boundary between Ladakh & Tibet)
- But nothing happened after this expedition.
- Map below shows the possible route based on landmarks reached by the patrol

This is so funny! Buddhism practiced by these monks seems so weak that it cannot stand or appeal on its own. They first have to get the neo-converts to renounce everything to do with Hinduism. Like how Hindu converts to Islam were made to first eat beef.

When I read about Abhinav Bharat, there's so many who did tiny things to move along the freedom movement, while just working their jobs, tending to their families. And we don't even know what happened to them, much less fete them as heroes. How do we even begin to thank them?

Indian tanks are upgraded in-house. To the extent that we add subcomponents which even the Russians don't have. This news can't be correct.

+ where I think IA for the first time forayed deep into Aksai Chin along the trade route.
- This report also remains classified but my guess is that it would've thrown up info about the Chinese movement.
- Captain, later Brigadier, SL Tugnait (Air OP).

A longer recce patrol was sent in 1957 under Captain Tugnait, Regiment of Artillery.
- Except for major landmarks reached by this patrol, details are not available.
- It covered ~910 km on foot over a 3-month period and explored the extreme locations on our claim line in Ladakh +

Nehru refused permission to Captain Rajendra Nath to publish the report prepared after reconnoiter of the Aksai Chin area in 1952. They did not encounter Chinese but were told about occasional Chinese patrols in the Lanak La area by locals.

My father Capt later Maj Gen Rajendra Nath crossing Khardungla Pass - Ladakh - 18000 feet approximately- 1952. No roads. One jeep for a few kilometres in Leh, later two jeeps. He was the first Indian Army Officer to reconnoitre the Aksai Chin area in 1952 and the Chinese patrols

+ By apportioning forces to Theater Commands and moving the decision making to IAF Commander within a Theater Command (and away from AHQ), this flexibility and optimal utilization of the assets will be killed. And this issue will remain even at full Squadron strength.
