On the Brittonic side, the old word for ‘woman’ is poorly, but interestingly, preserved (as is often the case).
We do have an exact cognate of OIr. ben, ModIr. bean in Middle Breton (h)e ben and Middle Cornish y ben, literally ‘her woman’.

The plan is to regionally diversify the CorPH database of Old Irish, to overhaul its web interface to make it more user friendly, & to use that date to find out if there are statistically significant differences in Old Irish language usage between the regions.
