Schools start again next week. There are still a huge number of children with additional needs who do not have a school place. It should be a national outrage.

It’s broken. It actively looks for ways not to give our children the education they deserve. Years of fighting for both my children with SEND. It never stops from transport to EHCP. It causes families extreme stress & huge loss of time battling with LA. It’s relentless.

My son is autistic, he only eats a small number of foods. He’s been doing little jobs over the holidays for pocket money to buy his games, such as putting his bottle in the dishwasher 😅. Today he decided his job to buy robux was to try an apple! I’m too stunned to speak 🍎👏🏻

Oh good, they agree the best place for children is school. Does this mean they are funding more school placements for child with SEND and ensuring each one of them have a suitable school to attend in September to meet their needs?

When you are worrying about your child’s diet because they are rigid in their eating just know my 8 yo son just grabbed an orange from the fruit bowl, peeled it himself & started eating it like he’s not been eating the same 10 foods his whole life 🤯😅 #Autism

Hands up if you’re having to find £400 every month to make sure your over-16 can get to school every day. Yep, that’s what parents of disabled young people are having to do now that disabled transport has been cut. And it sometimes feels as if no one gives a damn. Do you?

Well we knew it was going to happen Emily was granted a place at a college that is 30miles away The ONLY college that can meet her specific care needs. The ONLY one Transport refused by the council It’s f*cking exhausting being the parent of a SEN child, f*cking exhausting

My daughter had her first day of secondary school today. Specialist school. One we fought for months/years to get for her…she scored her day infinity/10. All worth it 🤍🙏 #Autism #ADHD #SEND
